Ride or Art, RAW Mag

2026
ART DIRECTION & EDITORIAL

Raw Magazine is a bilingual cycling publication, founded in 2013 with a digital-first identity, that has evolved from the fixed-gear scene to a position on the international cycling culture landscape.
Following a pilot issue –Issue Zero, Stepping into the unknow–, RAW consolidates its life on paper with a new release, Ride or Art. This time, the concept of an artistic archive is explored in support of the piece's content.

Up to four articles dedicated to photographers immortalize feats and emotions around cycling and, through their work, preserve the beauty of the cycling world while elevating the chronicle to artistic expression.
This issue would not have been possible without the collaboration of Brazo de Hierro, Naike Ereñozaga, Sami Sauri, and Sean Hardy, four perspectives that recount different experiences within cycling.

Each issue has a guiding thread that ties the content together and takes its own shape. In "Ride or Art", cycling is approached as expression and photography as work. This artistic concept takes shape through gradients, grain, blur, depth, and a use of color that, especially in the photographic articles, accompany the content with a distinct artistic intent.
